Youth Fencing Classes

Designed with the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) model in mind, our focus is on the Learn to Train and Train to Train stage of Long Term Athlete Development. Our program teaches basic fencing behaviour, sportsmanship, and self-discipline, as well as the basic terminology, footwork, offensive and defensive actions, and bouting strategy with actual fencing. As some simple benefits, fencing can help improve motor skills, social and perceptual growth, self discipline, self confidence and self responsibility.
All equipment is provided for the duration of the course. Participants are asked to wear athletic pants, tshirt/sport shirt and non-marking running shoes.
All our classes are taught by nationally certified coaches and implement the Canadian Fencing Federation Armband grading system.
